A-Pathetic Americans

Recently in New Hampshire, a study was conducted. An 11-year-old girl was pretending to text a friend while standing on the sidewalk of a busy street. Out of nowhere, a man comes and "kidnaps" her. She immediately starts screaming, "Help! He's not my dad! Someone help!" Much to the shock of those conducting the experiment, out of about 12 fake kidnappings, only one person helped.

Those conducting the experiment said this:
"Americans don't care anymore. They are so wrapped up in their own worlds, they ignore those around them."

They went on to describe Americans as "apathetic, self-absorbed, and afraid to act."

I have two girls that mean the world to me. To think that this is the reality of the world in which they are growing up terrifies me. What will it take for you to act?

Dare to be someone that does make a difference in the world, not just thinks about it.

Opening Day for the Royals is Monday, first pitch is at 3:10.
Final score of the game: Royals 5, Detroit 2.

And on American Idol, Taylor Hicks still rocks.
