Too Much Space

Too Much Space

Failing to follow the path beaten-down
Setting the trail a-blaze
Walking on waters while storms abound
Dancing in the middle of the maze

Daring to dream of a-coming new day
Crossing over the lines
Casting aside all comfortable ways
Worries left behind

If you’re not living on the edge
You’re taking up too much space
If you’re not getting into trouble
You are playing it too safe
If you are living in tomorrow
You’re not dying today
If you’re not living on the edge
You’re taking up too much space

Setting the sail where the wind freely blows
Tossing convention away
Sharing a journey of Love on the go
Singing as we play

If you’re not living on the edge
You’re taking up too much space
If you’re not getting into trouble
You are playing it too safe
If you are living in tomorrow
You’re not dying today
If you’re not living on the edge
You’re taking up too much space

Holding on tight to the reigns of this life
Safe and sound and out of harm’s way
Judging who’s wrong, judging who’s right
Playing with power just to get your way

I like it. The phrase "living on the edge" reminds me of my favorite Aerosmith song, of the same name. Have you heard that one? I've played it for my youth before...
